Gary and I were helping out on a training day with Mark Cleghorn (his pic) as groomsmen. It was blinking FREEZING out there but we still found things funny. Check it out...

I am still quite chuffed with this accolade. The critique back from the board of examiners was a clean sweep, all thought I deserved the level without question.

These images are two of my faves that got the licentiate rating for me. Next plans are to take the images to another level, I am looking to really push what I do and produce images that would get me to associate level with the SWPP. Hope you like these as much as I do!

Well, licentiate is the first large step taken by professional photographers to show they work to a standard continuously higher than other "professionals". It is through examination, critique, development and training that we all improve in what we do in our lives.

For photographers, being part of a society that monitors levels of achievment and gives awards accordingly is our way of keeping abreast of what is good right and acceptable in this strange industry made up of the crossover of art and science. For me, it's a step up and along. There will be more.

I hope you like these first couple of images, I will post all 20 images ultimately just two at a time.

Over the next few weeks, this blog along with lots of other stuff is going to become quite active. Hopefully, if all goes well I will be posting a photograph a week of the images that won me a licentiate with the SWPP and also, I am going to feature some of the commercial work that we are doing.

Enjoy...

Paul
